County Planning and Development Commission Grants Applicant’s Request for Continuance

Lecanto, Fla. – At a public hearing today, the Citrus County Planning and Development Commission (PDC) granted a request for continuance from the developers of the planned Tuscany Ranch project.

Attorney Robert Batsel, on behalf of Tuscany Ranch, requested a Planned Unit Development (PUD2663) amendment and Development Agreement (DA-2024-00002) to the Beverly Hills Development of Regional Impact (DRI).  The proposed changes would allow 3,687 single-family residences, 1,415 multi-family residences, and 330,524 square-feet of nonresidential uses.

The County had issued Public Notice for both this meeting and the applicant’s hearing before the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) simultaneously, with the Board meeting scheduled for March 25, 2025.  The BOCC meeting will not take place on that date, and the County will await further information from the applicant.
