Installation of new pickleball court shade structure at Central Ridge Community Park

Citrus County Parks and Recreation will install a new shade structure at the pickleball courts at Central Ridge Community Park beginning Wednesday, Dec. 10. The project is part of the county’s initiative to enhance visitor comfort, safety and the overall recreational experience.

To ensure the work can be completed safely and efficiently, the following schedule and temporary access changes will be in effect:

• Courts 1 and 3 will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 10, for tree-trimming maintenance. They will reopen Thursday, Dec. 11.
• The main entrance to the pickleball courts will be closed for approximately two weeks beginning Wednesday, Dec. 10, until the new shade structure and benches are installed.
• Park users will need to use the southwest entrance gate during construction. The temporary entrance will be clearly marked.

Citrus County Parks and Recreation appreciates the community’s patience while the upgrade is completed to provide a cooler, more enjoyable playing environment for all.
